of Ammonia; a copy of whose report "Ammonia as a disinfectant" is enclosed. It fully justifies what I have said about Ammonia.

In connection with the latter, I would mention that I quite agree with Dr. Cantlie'sconclusion, that "Nitrogen starvation"
is the effect produced by malarial poisoning. I sent this gentleman some of my early papers about the cause of malaria,
in 1909.

The excessive quantity of oxygen breathed when the air is heavily charged with the poisonous 0 S. 04. reduces the amount of nitrogen necessary to health. The only cure seems to be to supply nitrogen in the form of Ammonia; so that the latter is not only a disinfectant, but also a febrifuge.
